Lessons: Ezra, Sept 5th
Lynn H will be the only one that sees them
At the bottom of page there is a place for comments and questions ~
Well, hopefully you are all outside enjoying this AWESOME day! The weather of Heaven!..all in favor vote 'I'! ....'I!!!'
First week of school, went awesomely! I am there at noon on Mondays and Fridays teaching geography or Home Ec. What a great time...is school suppose to be this much fun?!
Oh! if you can help, we are looking for someone to help with practicing phonics with a child.
We are throwing a yard sale for the school for unexpected expenses. We know they will arise and we don't want to get to far into the school year and discover a hidden expense we did not foresee. Thank you to all that have been so generous in donating 'stuff'. By the way, You guys have great stuff! We have already sold some of it because it was sitting in the hallway! We are still collecting 'stuff'!!!! PLEASE bring MORE!!! You can put it on the bus (the one closes to the dirt pile! I will be so glad when we won't be able to say that anymore) If you have items to large for you to bring we can pick it up (thank you to Pat and Holly!) The yard sale will be Sept. 18th at my house. Come on over!!! Bring something and buy something hahhaha. Anyone that would like to bake something for the bake sale see Gail Mahar. The school children will be baking in home ec too.
Now for the fall promo...Which is so very EXCITING!!!! I CAN"T WAIT!! It starts Sunday Sept. 12th. Super Soaker for the kids Sunday morn.
But on Sunday nights for 6 weeks we will be having 'Family Fun Nights' On the 12th we will kick it off with 'Win It In A Minute' games. Now if you have not heard of this well ya gotta see it...and gotta play. We will be playing 4-5 games, picking people out of the audience (those wanting to play...so don't be afraid you will not be picked if you don't want to play!)(but once you see it, your going to be kicking yourself saying, 'ah! I should have done it!'...comeon now, I know you!)
So, lets get back to church. Fill God's house and see many visitors and many saved this fall. Looking so forward to all that God is going to do!!! keep PRAYING for our church, Pastor and each other.
love you. Have a great Labor Day weekend.
Don't forget Monday at 12 there is a church picnic at the Gentile home. 70 Caldwell St. Nashua. Bring a picnic food to go with hamburgers and hot dogs.
Ezra
‘I Magnify Mine Office’
I have read the entire book of Ezra this week and did a basic study of its content. I then came to the realization that I have never heard a sermon preached from the book of Ezra. I also noticed that in the past 15 years I have never underlined one verse in the book of Ezra! (until this week)
The one thing I have learned about this man of God, is that he was #1 a Priest #2 Loved God his entire life #3 he was a Scribe. And in all these things he did one thing, “he magnified his office”.
So, that is what our Sunday School lesson will be about, magnifying our office. What does that mean? The verse is found in Romans 11:13
My questions is…What is your office? Mother, Wife, Person of Prayer, Greeter, Friendly face, teacher, employee, sweeper, coffee maker, toilet washer, bus worker, soul winner, encourager, nursery worker…even all of the above?!
Secondly, How is it that Ezra won
